After all of the holiday hustle and bustle, chances are you’re in need of a little relaxation. Some “me” time. But in most cases, carving out enough “me” time to relax at the spa just isn’t a doable option this time of year. There’s just too much to do and too many places to be. So after the kids are tucked into bed and the house is cleaned up from a day full of holiday prep, why not soak away your stress with a hot, aromatherapy bath? Ahhhh…just the sound of that puts me at ease. Relax, release tension, ease those sore muscles, and melt away the stress that accompanies the holiday rush.

I don’t know about you, but sometimes when I’m ready for a relaxing bath the thought of the clean up just stresses me out all over again. Yes, the vision rose petals floating all around me while I’m submerged in steamy, essential oil-infused water is just heavenly- but then I have to pick each little petal out of the tub when my “me” time is over. And that’s not relaxing at all. Agree? I’m sure you do.

So if the clean up was eliminated, wouldn’t it be an amazing way to end your day? An aromatherapy relaxation bath- without the fuss. Yes, please! How you ask? Well, Bulk Apothecary carries Bath Tea Bags and I’m SO excited. Basically, you’re brewing one giant cup of hot, steamy tea infused with all of your favorite botanicals and dipping yourself right in! Imagine all of the benefits and none of the mess. Sign me up!

If you’ve never tried bath tea bags before, here’s a simple recipe to get you started. These are so easy to make and allow you to use whatever botanicals and essentials oils you’re in the mood for, AND- they make lovely gifts. Each tea bag will hold roughly 1/2 cup of bath tea.

Materials:

Directions:

  1. Place a few tablespoons of each dried petal and a few drops of each essential oil into the tea bag and use a hot iron to seal the open end shut.
  2. Place the tea bag in the tub while it is filling with hot water, allowing the water to be infused with botanicals and essential oils. Tip: You can continue to allow the tea bag to steep while you relax in the bath, or you can remove it before you get in. (For optimal benefit, each bag should be a single-use tea bag as the essential oils will soak out of the botanicals once they infuse into the water).

Enjoy your time without the fuss of a cleanup! You deserve it!
