It seems like we always wish we had a different type of hair than we actually have (heard of “the grass is always greener” saying). Well… do you suffer from unruly curly hair? There are so many methods of straightening and relaxing. We’ve found one of the best ways is with the use of Argan Oil. Argan oil is high in Vitamin E and fatty acids, but it’s also a thin oil that is easy to use with your hair. While many people apply the argan oil directly to the scalp (use about a dime-size amount before or after you shower), we’ve put together a recipe for a spritzer that is great for untangling unruly hair for post-shower. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
- 1 Spray Bottle— Any size will do, we recommend an 8 oz. so you will have some space to mix and shake!
- Argan Oil
- 1 Tablespoon of Conditioner (use your favorite brand, or if you want something more simple, substitute with a teaspoon of shea butter or cocoa butter)
- Water
Steps:
Fill the spray bottle 1/4 of the way full with Argan Oil. Mix in conditioner and enough water to fill the bottle. You may find that the mixture is too thick to spray (if you have a thick conditioner or are working with a butter). If so, just add less conditioner and more water.
Apply to you hair to help straighten in the morning!
***If you have naturally curly hair, you can add the argan oil to just about any of your haircare products. Add a few tablespoons to your conditioner and use in the shower, or as noted above, just apply directly to the scalp!
I’ve never had so many compliments since using this product, I’ve even had to give out my secret recipe to friends and family!
