Believe it or not, you need this recipe for After Sun Spray. Summer is here and it’s time to get our tan on (safely, of course)! Whether you plan on catching rays in the backyard or you’re gearing up for a tropical getaway, planning ahead for some of the not-so-fun sun side effects is a smart thing to do. Maybe you fell asleep by the pool or perhaps you didn’t pack the best SPF, either way, a sunburn can ruin your fun.

So be smart about your time outdoors and have a soothing sunburn relief product on standby. This easy recipe incorporates ingredients that will ease the burn, soothe the skin and heal the tender site. Combining natural ingredients eliminates the use of chemicals and preservatives you may find in store bought brands, healing your compromised skin in the healthiest way.

Enjoy your summer safely!

After Sun Spray

1/2 Cup Aloe Vera

1/4 Cup Witch Hazel

1/4 Cup Almond Oil

1 tsp. Vitamin E

10 Drops Lavender Essential Oil

5 Drops Peppermint Essential Oil

In a spray top bottle, combine the above ingredients. Shake gently to blend the ingredients together. Spray to tender, sun-exposed skin and gently pat for absorption. Repeat as needed shaking bottle prior to each use.

Enjoy your After Sun Spray!

  1. How long would this be “shelf stable”? Would it be okay in the dark cupboard just during the summer? As A mother of a family of very sensitive skinned, strong Irish-German descent, this sounds awesome!

  2. I’m looking for any DIY recipe using aloe vera liquid. I find it so difficult to find anything good on-line. Can you suggest best place for learning?
