Beer Soap Recipe

June is here! Nice weather, swimming, baseball games and of course, Father’s Day!

Get ready for today’s recipe. Grab your favorite bottle of beer and let’s begin. Yes, I said beer! Father’s Day is only a few days away and what dad wouldn’t love a nice cold bottle of beer? (don’t worry if they’re a wine drinker, that recipe will be later in the week)

I know picking out gifts can be hard at times. What does he want or need. How about something fun and homemade? You can even use it too!

This beer soap recipe looks so realistic and is actually really easy to make.

Ingredients:

2lbs All Natural SFIC Honey Soap Base

1lb Stephenson Melt and Pour Crystal Soap Base (Oatmeal Shea)

½ cup flat beer (let sit overnight )

Sturdy plastic cups

Step 1:

Cut honey soap base into small chunks or cubes. Place into microwave-safe mixing bowl. Next, cut the oatmeal shea soap base into pieces and place in another microwave-safe bowl. Set aside. Microwave the honey soap base at 30-second intervals. Please remember all microwave settings differ. Use your discretion when microwaving Melt and Pour Soap bases. The honey soap base tends to need a little extra melting time. Using oven mitts, remove from microwave. Stir and make sure soap is completely melted. Pour ½ cup of flat beer into the clear soap base. Even though the beer is flat, it should still bubble. The color will change slightly depending on which beer you are using. To achieve a darker base, use a dark beer. Stir until well blended. Pour into plastic beer cups leaving enough room to add a frothy top. Cups will be extremely hot. Please use caution. Let cool for 20-25 minutes.

Step 2:

Melt the Oatmeal Shea Soap. Shea melts quickly. Start at 30 seconds intervals and use your discretion. Once melted, quickly whisk until soap is frothy and bubbly. Spoon on top of each plastic cup. If the soap drips over, even better.

This cup of soap beer makes a great gift or party favor. Leave in the plastic cup for a realistic look. I’m sure everyone who see this won’t be able to tell the difference.
