If you’re looking for an all-natural, more sustainable option for blush to put in your makeup bag, look no further. We LOVE this recipe and have found that this DIY Blush is just as good as the kind you can buy at the store, if not better. After all, you can’t change the color of store bought blush depending on the season, right?

Method

Super simple recipe!

In a small bowl or cup, add desired amount of arrowroot powder, hibiscus flower powder, and beet root powder. Stir carefully.

(Optional)Next, add mica powder and mix into powders carefully.

Then, if desired color has been reached, add the mixture to a tin or jar and seal.

We tested a few amounts and have shared the combinations we utilized to achieve certain colors down below, with amounts next to the pictures indicating the color.

Use

Dip brush lightly into the vessel containing your DIY blush. Gently knock off excess by tapping the brush on the side of the vessel.

Ideally, this product should be applied after the use of primer and foundation.

If possible, complete the look with finishing powder to ensure your DIY Blush remains on the face for an extended period of time.
