As hot summers end, we readily pull out fall-themed decorations, scarves, and soup pots to fully embrace the fall-spirit. The scents of fall are another means of really immersing ourselves in the ambiance of this cozy season! Bulk Apothecary’s essential oils and oil blends can invite your favorite feelings of everything sweater weather and pumpkin spice. Here are some of our favorite fall essential oils, blends, and recipes:

Favorite Fall Oils

Fall is often characterized by pumpkins, leaves changing color, and crisp morning air. If you want to bring the fall season indoors, try using some of our favorite fall oils. These oils can be used alone to create an earthy, spicy, or woody atmosphere.

Earthy Fall Oils

Fresh ginger and fennel seed are warm, earthy scents. Vetiver, patchouli, and frankincense are also rich and earthy oils you might enjoy in the fall. We like these oils because they are very aromatic and enjoyable on their own.

Spicy Fall Oils

Nutmeg, coffee, clove bud, and cinnamon are some of the most popular fall scents because they are oftentimes nostalgic and remind you of your favorite fall desserts, like pumpkin pie or coffee cake. You can also use cardamom, black pepper, and sage oils for when you want something spicy.

Woody Fall Oils

Sandalwood and cedarwood are two of the best oils to use for a deep, woody scent. You can also use oils like fir balsam, cypress, and scotch pine for a fresh and woody scent. The fresh and woody oils are great to bridge you between the fall and winter seasons.

You can enjoy these favorite fall oils by using them in our Ultrasonic Faux Wood Diffuser or diluting them in a carrier oil and rolling them on.

Oil Blends for Fall

You can create an oil blend for fall by combining two or more of our essential oils. Here are some oil combinations you might want to try when you’re looking to create a fall ambiance:

  • Sweet orange, fir balsam, and lemon
  • Orange, patchouli, black pepper, and cinnamon
  • Fennel, bergamot, frankincense, and clove bud
  • Fir balsam, frankincense, bergamot, and juniper berry
  • Lemon, fir balsam, cedarwood, and rosemary

To create your signature oil blend, start by using one drop of each of the oils from your selection above. Add up to three or four drops of each oil to your liking. Experiment with different amounts of oils to find a blend you love. Make sure to write down what you try each time so you can recreate it in the future!

You can find all of these fall oils and more at Bulk Apothecary. We have Certified Organic oils, therapeutic-grade oils, and more for you to choose from.

Recipes with Your Favorite Fall Oils and Blends

If you’re not feeling experimental, but still want to enjoy the perfect fall oil blend, you should try using one of our tried-and-true, favorite fall blend recipes. You can easily find all of these oils, and more, on our website.

Pumpkin Spice Diffuser Blend Recipe

The best way to develop a warm and delicious pumpkin spice scent is to use our Pumpkin Spice Diffuser Blend Recipe. All you need is your favorite diffuser and the following fall oils:

  • Cinnamon
  • Nutmeg
  • Clove bud

This recipe is perfect for creating the perfect pumpkin spice aroma without having to bake a pumpkin pie! You’ll love how warm and inviting your space becomes when you use these oils together in your diffuser.

For best results, fill your diffuser with distilled or bottled water. Add five drops of cinnamon essential oil and one drop of nutmeg and clove bud oils. Remember, you can always adjust the recipe with more or less of each oil.

If you like the fragrance, but find it too strong, simply add a little more water to your diffuser once the water level is under the fill line. You can always increase the fragrance intensity by multiplying the recipe.

Warm Apple Cider

Do you want something warm and spicy with less of a pumpkin spice scent? You can use several oil blend recipes to create a warm apple cider or cinnamon spice aroma.

To create an apple cider blend, you’ll need a few drops of cinnamon leaf oil, a drop of ginger oil, and up to four drops of sweet orange oil. If you don’t have ginger, you can always exchange it with star anise oil.

Want a spicier version of the apple cider blend? Use two drops of sweet orange oil and one drop of clove oil and cinnamon oil. Make this recipe even more warm and sweet by adding up to four drops of vanilla.

Once you’ve dropped the oils in your diffuser following the apple cider or cinnamon spice recipe, simply sit back, relax, and get cozy.

Reed Diffuser Recipe

If you are looking for a way to create the perfect fall atmosphere without using an electric diffuser or roll-on dilution, try using a reed diffuser with your favorite oils. You can’t go wrong when you use your favorite fall oil or oil blend with our Reed Diffuser Recipe.

The materials you need for this recipe include:

  • A glass diffuser jar
  • Diffuser reeds, about four to six
  • Mineral oil
  • Vodka
  • Pipette dropper
  • Your favorite fall essential oils

This is one of our favorite recipes because it is flexible and versatile. Our customers can get creative and experiment with all of their favorite oils. You can use a single fall oil or your favorite fall oil blend. The possibilities are endless!

We have several round and square glass diffuser bottles that work perfectly with this recipe.
