Messier Mess Cleaner– You know the ones we’re talking about. The grimy film on the shower tiles and the muddy paw prints tracked across the floor. Or how about the dried remnants of “something” splattered all over the inside of the microwave? Yuck. Yep, those messes usually require something with a little more power. Well, no worries! There’s an easy, homemade cleaning solution for the messiest situations and we’ve got the recipe. Mixing in a few of our essential oils to help combat bacteria and the spread of germs, your home will be squeaky clean and sweet smelling in no time! I’ve literally used this on every surface of my home and it works like a charm!

What you’ll need:

  • 4 cups hot water
  • 4 tablespoons white vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons Borax
  • 2 drops of liquid dish soap
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon essential oil
  • 2-4 drops of an essential of your choice (choose a scent that compliments the lemon such as orange (sweet), grapefruit, or lime essential oil)

Steps:

Mix ingredients together making sure the Borax is completely dissolved. Pour into a spray top bottle (be sure to label it) and use with a damp sponge to wipe away the mess!

*This mixture should not be used on granite, Corian, or marble. But have no fear- we’ve got that covered so stay tuned!

When my Mother-in-law saw how well it cleaned she even asked for the recipe! So it must be good 🙂
