Sore Throat Syrup– I don’t know about all of you but for us, the flu was bad this season. My entire family had it at one point or another (and sometimes twice!) While many may consider flu season over, there are still quite a few people catching the bug or dealing with ongoing symptoms – I swear I’ve had a cough for months now. Below is a super simple recipe for anyone dealing with a sore throat or pesky cough. It’s all-natural and probably uses ingredients you already have in your home!

I’ve had to use this recipe several times this season and even passed it along to all my mom friends! In addition, you can keep the recipe on hand for allergy season as it will help you deal with itchy throat AND help boost your immune system. It really works wonders 🙂

So let’s get started on this great syrup recipe for any season!

Ingredients:

  • 1- 4 oz. Plastic Jar
  • 2 Tablespoons Coconut Oil (Organic, Extra Virgin)
  • 1/4 Cup Raw Honey
  • 3 Tablespoons Lemon Juice

Steps:

Mix Honey, Lemon Juice, and Extra Virgin Coconut Oil into the jar. The clear plastic jars are great so you can ensure the product mixes properly. This is a food-safe product, so you can ingest it. Some people prefer to gargle it a bit before swallowing. It’s a fantastic alternative to cough syrup with lots of chemicals and unnatural ingredients in it.

***Pair this syrup with plenty of rest, water, and vitamin C (any maybe soup if you have the energy)!

As with all of our recipes, feel free to share your thoughts and suggestions in the comments section below!

We all hope you feel better and enjoy this Sore Throat Syrup recipe! 🙂

    1. Hi! Not specifically, but we have a multitude of different honey and coconut scents to choose from that could easily be made into a candle. 🙂
