We’re thrilled to introduce you to Madelynn, the owner and creator of Free Indeed Candles. Madelynn is an extraordinary talent in the candle maker community. We have asked her to share her story and her high-quality candles. We can’t wait to share her story with you!

Natural Nana’s mission is transform healthcare into self-care by empowering families to start their healing in the home. We asked the owner Ashley to share more about herself and her brand.
Madelynn, we are so excited to showcase you this month. Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?
Hi! I’m Madelynn, the owner and creator of Free Indeed Candles. My love for candles started like many others; I wanted my house to feel warm, cozy and of course, smell good! After doing some research, I discovered that many commercial candle companies on the market can pose potential health risks with the ingredients they are made with. With this newfound knowledge, I decided to take up the hobby of candle-making as a fun pastime. As I delved deeper into the craft, I found myself becoming more and more passionate about creating my own unique and safe candles. That’s why I created Free Indeed Candles not only to extend my craft with friends and family but to give everyone else the opportunity to bring a product into their home that is made with quality ingredients and safe for your health.
Can you tell us, out of all the amazing candles you have made, what is your favorite?
My favorite product I have is my Citrus Sunshine candle. It’s the perfect happy scent, with notes of fresh fruit, like mandarine & lemon with hints of vanilla & pineapple. It’s my favorite candle to burn at any time of day, any season.
That sounds delightful! Some of our favorite fragrances are Citron & Mandarine and Pineapple Vanilla
What was your inspiration behind the name of your company?
My business name is deprived from scripture (John 8:36). It’s always been my favorite bible verse & has been uplifting in seasons of difficulty. I also thought it would tie in perfectly with my candles since my goal is to create clean burning candles that are free from phthalates, parabens & other harmful ingredients commercial candles are made with.
What is your favorite part of the creative process? Least favorite?
My favorite part is pouring the candle wax into the jars. It’s so pretty to watch! The least is wicking jars…it takes forever!
Do you have any words of wisdom to offer any aspiring makers?
Don’t worry about other people’s opinions & judgments. There will be lots of people who won’t want you to succeed, tune them out & focus on the people who are supporting you & your dreams.
What is one piece of advice that has helped you in your business?
the best piece of advice that has helped me is to just slow down & take my time. It took me over 1 1/2 years to open my business. I really made sure all my ducks were in a row before I started selling & that the product I was putting out was the best quality I could give someone.
