If you’re anything like me, sometimes it’s tough to fall asleep when you want to. You jump in bed, knowing full well that you need to get a few solid hours of sleep so you can get everything done the next day on your to-do list. In the world of phones, tablets, tablets and games, our minds work overtime causing us to have some sleep issues. More and more people are checking their Twitter from bed, and reports have shown that this just activates the mind more, making sleep a bit more difficult.

You can also try Melatonin. This is a fantastic, all natural sleep aid that has proven to be very effective. Plus, it’s extremely mild. If you want to try something a little stronger than aromatherapy, but you do not want medication (such as Ambien), then I recommend looking into Melatonin. In pill form, you just take one before bed with a glass of water. Studies have shown that not only will you be able to fall asleep more quickly, but you will sleep more effectively. This means you will enter your REM cycle instead of tossing and turning all night.
Aside from working as a wonderful sleep aid, melatonin is also known to boost your immune system…win/win, right? Anyway, if you are looking for a sleep aid that isn’t Ambien or white wine, melatonin may be your best bet!
